U.S. and Costa Rica Forge Biometric Border Pact Ahead of Global Entry Integration
On June 25, 2025, U.S. DHS Secretary Kristi Noem and Costa Rican President Rodrigo Chaves Robles announced a biometric border partnership and Costa Rica’s inclusion in Global Entry, ahead of a December 26, 2025 U.S. mandate requiring all non-U.S. travelers to undergo biometric entry and exit checks.
