Not to worry – in this scenario it’s a good thing!!!!  We have all heard that fish oil is good for you.  But, recently I have really realized JUST how good for you it is.  One of my friends had really high cholesterol and he was told by his doctor that he could lower his cholesterol if he just took Fish Oil and if that worked, he wouldn’t need any medication.  Guess what? He took the fish oil and to this day he does not take any medication!


I started taking fish oil a while ago and would take it in the morning.  All day long I felt like I had a fishy taste in my mouth- gross!  So I stopped.  Until one day my mother in law, Pam, who is a nurse, simply said- “Take it at night”.  It worked!  Now I get the awesome benefits of fish oil and I encourage everyone to do so!

A lot of the benefit of fish oil seems to come from the omega-3 fatty acids that it contains. Interestingly, the body does not produce its own omega-3 fatty acids.  Of course, you can get omega 3s from eating fish and some other foods but most of us don’t eat enough to get the best amount. Some amazing benefits include: lowering cholesterol, lower blood pressure, aids in preventing heart disease, helps joints and good for your skin.  And those are just a few!

So throw away the fishing pole and take your supplements to make sure you are taking care of you!  Night Night fishes!!!

MEDICATIONS– If you are on any medications you should always check with your doctor to see if taking anything at all will affect your current prescriptions.  Also- NEVER stop taking any medications without your doctor’s advice.
